Many of us here at the Free Agents Network are refugees of an organization called ***Expletive Deleted*** which made a name for itself “crashing” Statist gatherings. For those of you that don’t know, Crashes were essentially counter-protests of Statists’ own protests as seen in the video below…
The new ***Expletive Deleted*** has predictably lost its nerve. Now, rather than continuing the passionate work done by his predecessors and publicizing his successes, the new Crasher-In-Chief has actually taken the curious tactic of publicizing the group’s failures.
The new community is obviously much more comfortable interviewing their fellow conservatives spewing conservative talking points on friendly territory, than “risking” interaction with the (and this is debatable) other side. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

Not really sure I’d call the Tea Parties “conservative”. They’re moderate libertarians–I’d consider them “fellow travelers”.
I’m not a Tea Partier myself, but I am extremely pissed off about the treatment they get in the populist media.
Its creepy to see our news media attack all enemies of Obama/State. Its a little like living in a communist country.
There were some libertarians at the Tea Party I attended but it was still (overwhelmingly) conservative. I do believe that Tea Parties should be used by libertarians to grow the choir as simply preaching to the choir gets old after awhile.
I’ve been to three TPs in Tucson now, and the speakers as well as most of the organization-driven rhetoric is overwhelmingly conservative.
On the other hand, the people I’ve talked to sound either libertarian, or so scared and fed up that they want something different, but don’t know what it is. At one of them I had a “
WhoWhere is John Galt?” sign, and I was amazed how many people – old ladies, young parents, immigrants, the whole spectrum – came up and said they’d heard of that saying, and wanted to know more about it.Bottom line, they are a very fertile field for planting libertarian seeds. They’re not yet ready for anarchism.
I can’t say I know much about the old expletive deleted, but I hope you didn’t call up to ask permission to protest stuff. That just doesn’t conjure up the visual of a “crash” for me.
