I had lost my .mp3 player at Ephemerisle (found it later) and I had an 8-hour (not counting stops at In-N-Out) drive facing me. I needed something to listen to and found nothing worthwhile on the radio. I called a friend of mine and she gave me the number to the Liberty Radio Network’s Listen Line. It was fantastic and as it was a Sunday I had unlimited minutes. It worked great and it gave me a chance to listen to some of the shows not named FreeTalkLive, which I remain a huge fan of.
We are fortunate to live in a time with so many options available to us. No longer do we have to settle for the least insane Conservative talk outlet or risk driving off a cliff as NPR induces catatonia upon us. Several internet radio programs that cater to people like us (the rational types) have already popped up and more arrive on the scene all the time.
Mike Lowry, one of the driving forces behind the initial founding of the Free Agents Network, and Rick Caldwell have recently started a show called Infrequently Asked Questions. “Rick is a voluntaryist who has been running a fairly well known site, ifaq.us for some time,” said Lowry. “I’m a relative newbie to the stateless living scene. I host a blog at thenewactivist.wordpress.com, and worked in libertarian political circles for years. Together we offer our opinions on politics, police actions, people, pie, and anything else that comes across our minds.”
Another Free Agent, Darian Worden, has been hosting Thinking Liberty on Patriot Radio since early September. “The show is hosted by me and usually includes Free Agents Bile and Black Bloke as co-hosts,” said Worden. “We try to have the most authentic, spontaneous conversation on liberty that a radio presentation will allow. Listeners can call in live. We’ve discussed G20 resistance, 420 smoke-ins, political movements in history, foreign policy, the meaning of liberty and authority, and we apply our discussions to help us better liberate ourselves.” The show airs Tuesday evenings from 8-9 EST.
Free Agent Little Alex does not host his Little Alex in Wonderland show very frequently but all three of his shows have been absolutely top notch and are well worth a listen. He has a knack for scoring really excellent guests such as Antiwar.com’s Scott Horton and Roderick Long. I’m really hoping that Alex airs some more interviews as I have been very impressed by all of them.

Thanks.
I’ve begun listening to Mises.org audiobooks and suddenly see value in my little mp3 player. I’m already looking for more.
Seriously all of the Little Alex ones are very educational and I would also check out NoState.com as Mike Gogulski has a lot of good listening selections there.
The problem I have with Libertarians is that they talk, talk, talk, preach, preach, preach yet take no action other than congratulating each other for earning debating points. They will stake out a position and then apoligize if it offends someone. They would rather win a debate than win an election! They seem to feel that supporting a conservative candidate taints their libertarian philosophy. If they do not stand with the conservatives and oppose the lefts’ socialist agenda they will find themselves facing political extinction! STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN!!!!!
By voting for someone who does not believe as we do? That’s how we “stand up and fight for what (we) believe in?”
I am not a conservative, so why would I stand with them? You have NO idea as to what any of the folks mentioned above do. I’ll give you a hint bill, They kick arse. Did you not notice the “one of the driving forces behind the initial founding of the Free Agents Network” bit, or the fact that rick has been running a well respected site for years? Ricks “talk, talk, talk” helped save a man from being executed unfairly. And I know for a fact that Darian, Bile, and BlackBloke all work their arses off too. What exactly are you doing, except the same as everyone before you? Voting for the lesser of two evils.
Supporting political candidates and conservative causes is not in my interest. But I would engage with anyone who is interested in liberty and hopefully the exchange will set us both in a better direction. This .pdf explains where I’m coming from http://nj.libertarianleft.org/downloads/allintrozine.pdf
I’ve written article listing a bunch of libertarian shows. See Libertarian Radio Shows,
Jay,
Will you consider adding InFrequently Asked Questions to the list? It’s internet only, and we only have two episodes in the can so far, but it’s most definitely pro-liberty.
Good write-up. I’ll have to check out those other shows.
My patriotradio.com experience began with a spot on Mad as Hell with Jay and Zay, which is also worth checking out: http://patriotradio.com/node/7
